Centerstone Plaza Hotel Soldiers Field - Mayo Clinic Area

Well. First thing no remote for first TV. Went to call front desk telephone not working in both areas. To tired so set ice maker while took a nap. Got up to few ice cubes and a sheet of frozen ice in bottom of tray with ice cubes trapped in top. When went to eat stopped at front desk to report problems. Maintained came about hour or so later with remote and fixed one phone and told about ice maker. Both employees very nice. And this kinda piddly but could you have matching dishes. I guess for $189 I would expect better. Room 940. I wasn’t gonna say anything but needs to be fixed for next person. Any chance of compensation?? Sherrie Wilken

Convenient to Mayo for our appointments. Good variety with a hot breakfast. On-demand shuttle, although a quick 8 minute walk from Mayo. Free parking. Friendly desk staff, allowed late check-out, if needed. . Twigs restaurant is convenient, on-site, and has a large menu with delicious entrees. Overall, it is a comfortable and convenient stay.

Loved that the shuttle went anywhere requested within 2 miles. The breakfast was better than most free breakfasts offered at hotels, had eggs/omelets, sausage, and pancakes daily from attached Twig restaurant kitchen, plus an assortment of pastries, and cereal. Had a nice pool/hot tub with attached arcade for kiddos. Did not use the fitness center but they did offer free printing from the business center (it's just one computer/printer). It was pet friendly.

Bteakfast bar sstisfactory. Self-serve not do good. Choicrs pretty extendsve- if highly caloric--breads and sweets. Hot water tepid. Hot cakes/waffles requred microwave-not good. Fruit and oatmeal okay. Juice options good. Hotter food and a little staff might improve ambience. The shuttle bus is fabulous and that it us on call is remarksble. Sensitivity to needs of viislitng patients is outstanding. Have stsyed at the hotel before and will sgain. Shuttle drivers excellent and engaging. The ability to leave one's car after checkout to go to appointments snd return to retrieve the car to go home is amazibgly thoughtful. Rooms fully outfittrd. My traveling companion noted the grenerous number of drawers. Beds lovely.

Great service, great staff, positive vibe. The Twigs Restaurant & the staff there are fantastic. Really enjoyed the bartenders & fellow restaurant customers. Good food, Cheers-like homey atmosphere. Shuttle to the Mayo is super easy & free.
